Springbank distillery was established in 1828 and acquired by John & William Mitchell in 1837. The distillery has been under the family ownership of J. & A. Mitchell & Co. Ltd since 1897 although it was silent between 1926 and 1935. Springbank is one of only two distilleries to produce, mature and bottle their product on the same premises. The Springbank distillery also bottles a whisky called Longrow, named after a former distillery situated opposite.

Tasting Notes
Bottling: Duncan Taylor Springbank 1967 - 35yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 1943.
Colour: Pale Gold.
Nose: Melon, Lime, Citrus.
Flavour: Sweet, Grassy, Coconut.
Finish: Medium dry, lightly oaky.
Comments:  WOW!

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Springbank 1967 - 37yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 1942.
Colour: Golden Straw.
Nose: Gooseberries and other fresh fruits. Honey, creamy.
Flavour: Big! Woody, Vanilla custard, Malty, fruity and a touch coastal.
Finish: Long and lingering with a fruity finish – Strawberries!
Comments:  A complex fruity Springbank.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Springbank 1967 - 38yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 1941.
Colour: Mid Gold.
Nose: Sweet Creamy and a touch of wood smoke.
Flavour: Trace of peat and Lemon Sherbert.
Finish: Intertwining coastalness and waxy fruitiness.
Comments:  Everything you could want from an aged springbank.

Cask No: n/a - 43%.
Colour: Pale gold.
Nose: Buttery and flowery – peaty smoke.
Flavour: Sweet and malty. Citrus notes.
Finish: Smooth, dry and beautifully smokey.
